Red Light Reset

Red Light Reset is a behavioral innovation concept developed for Headspace that transforms everyday driving pauses into opportunities for mindfulness. I identified a key challenge facing wellness apps: consistency. Many users download meditation tools with good intentions but struggle to maintain routines amid busy schedules and constant stimulation.

The concept reimagines red lights as moments of stillness hidden within daily life. By partnering with car technology, Headspace could introduce a small dashboard device that detects when a vehicle has come to a stop and gently prompts drivers through a brief breathing exercise or calming intervention. Rather than asking users to make time for mindfulness, Red Light Reset integrates mental wellness directly into an existing behavior.

This project explored how brands can move beyond digital experiences to create context-aware products that meet users in moments of real need. By turning unavoidable pauses into intentional resets, the campaign helps reduce driving stress while making mindfulness more accessible, consistent, and actionable.
